That’s a pretty fundamental question. It’s really a WHY question: why have a Website?
The next question is WHO is it for? Who is our target audience?
I don’t have the answers to both of those questions. I do have some ideas and am trying to implement them with my thin skill-set.
Jesus instructed us – Matthew 28:16-20
– then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Surely that includes a Mission Statement for all churches. We can only obey by taking every opportunity to communicate the teachings and commandments of Jesus.
In the Twenty-first Century we have so many options, from face to face, door to door to the World-wide Web! That must be one reason for a Website. We can reach so many lost seekers of truth, salvation and the joy of knowing Jesus.
