Lent 12: Second Sunday of Lent – God’s Love endures forever!

Dear Lord, Sunday is a day when we can celebrate that God’s support for us is solid and constant, and we must understand this truth to overcome our fears. You are with us every step! Be still . . . . Read Psalm 46 HERE

“HIS LOVE ENDURES FOREVER.”

READING: ROMANS 8:31-34 – read whole chapter HERE

What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.”

REFLECTION:

The following verses show that God has accepted us and is now on our side because of what He did through Jesus Christ, not because of anything we did. God’s support for us is solid and constant, and we must understand this truth to overcome our fears. So, what can we say in response to these things? Who or what could be against us if God is on our side?

Let us pray

Dear Lord, your Word reminds us that we are chosen, a royal priesthood, and a child of the King of kings. Please help us to remember that we called ourselves out of darkness and that you have already gone before us in victory. I want to walk in your presence today, knowing you will fight for me against my enemies. I surrender my doubts and insecurities to you. In all these things, I am more than a conqueror through you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

ACTION:

Please consider bringing a family member or friend with you to church today.
