The Olive Tree Church is a partnership formed between Blenheim Crescent Baptist Church and St Margaret’s Methodist Church in Luton, having been meeting and working as one church since 2017.
We are a group of ordinary people who love Jesus and are seeking to honour him and get to know him more. We don’t pretend to know all the answers, neither do we have everything sorted in our own lives, but God is working amongst us and we would love to share more with you about what this means.
Our main Sunday service starts at 10:30, apart from one Sunday a month when we start at 9.45 for Breakfast Communion. Full details of forthcoming services can be found on the calendar.
Our worship services include a mix of traditional and modern worship. Hymns are sung as well as modern songs. In this we are aided by a small group of musicians and singers.
A further aid to worship is a modern Audio-Visual system. Individual prayer, laying on of hands, and intercessions may also form part of some of our services. Bible teaching is always central to our time together. All hymns, songs and bible readings are displayed on screen, but large print hymn words are available for those who have trouble viewing the screen.
We welcome children at our services and a small play area is available for very young children. There is a Sunday School led by a team of able teachers and our Youth Worker leads sessions for young people.
Refreshments are served after each service at our ‘bistro’ area in the church, and we invite all those who attend our services to stay as this is a time to chat and get to know one another.
We hold regular Communion Services.
We hold regular prayer meetings, usually in the evening of the first Sunday of each month.
